The wait is over and the third season of the show is knocking at our doorsteps.

Hey, but don’t get very excited as the third season of the show will make its debut in October 2010. It means that the new episodes will be there after a few months and till then; we would have to wait.

The second season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars comes to an end on April 30,2010 with the season finale entitled as Lethal Trackdown. The season finale was written and directed by Dave Filoni. Receiving 2.20 million viewers, the season finale was a well-accepted episode.  On the episode, we saw that Anakin and Mace Windu were recovering from their injuries. Plo Kloon and Ahsoka followed Boba Fett. The revenge scheme devised by Boba resulted in a climatic battle. Also, we saw that the life of a Republic admiral hangs in the balance.    Ultimately, the episode has brought the season to an end. Although people were sad to see the season coming to an end, they are also happy because the show is returning with new episodes.

What would be the title of this upcoming series from Star Wars franchise?

Well, it’s not entitled yet and the representatives have also not announced which kind of title would be given to this upcoming live action TV show. As per the statement of George Lucas, the executive producer, Star Wars Live Action TV series will be released somewhere between 2010 and 2012.

It’s all set between Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars IV: A New Hope.  It was 2005 when fans came to know about this project of Star Wars franchise as George Lucas made an announcement at the Celebration III fan convention.   In this live action Star Wars series, most of the characters will be taken from Star Wars galaxy.

The project is gonna be quite wide. Initially, it was announced that Star Wars Live Action TV series would be having 100 episodes. But later the producer of the show, Rick McCallum, confirmed that there may be more than four hundred episodes during the whole run of the show. The man added, “it’s something that can go on for years and years. One of the ideas is that we’ll have multiple series going on in about two or three years’ time”.

As far as the crew of the series is concerned, it’ll be created and executive produced by George Lucas; Rick McCallum will serve, as the producer of the show and James Marquand will direct the show.

Furthermore, there will be no Darth Vader, Palpatine or any kind of Jedi characters on Star Wars Live Action TV series.    As per the words of the representatives, the show is gonna be grittier, darker and more character based. Seems like, it all is gonna be very interesting and mysterious.

Star Wars is franchise conceived by George Lucas. On January 5th, 2010, George Lucas made an appearance on ‘The Daily Show’ and had a talk with Jon Stewart.

As of now, Star Wars franchise is entertaining the viewers with an animated series named Star Wars: The Clone Wars.  The series is premiered on October 3, 2008 on the Cartoon Network. It continues the storyline of previous 2003 Star Wars: The Clone Wars series. The second season of the show is on air nowadays and series creator George Lucas has said that there would be at least five seasons of the series.
